Girls Studying Abroad Spring of 2012

Jordan is studying abroad for the Gala East Asia program. The trip begins in Japan where they will travel to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima and visit the temples and shrines of the past emperors and study the history of each city. After that, they travel to Seoul, South Korea where they will visit such places as the Tinnamen Square and the Forbidden City. After a week there they will travel to Beijing, China. In Beijing they will visit the Great Wall and Olympic venues. Also in China they will travel to Xi'an, Lhasa, Tibet, and Kunming. During their stay they will also visit the Tibetan Buddhist Temple and the Terra-cotta Warriors. The fourth adventure is to Sapa, Vietnam and Hanoi, Vietnam and finally Hong Kong.

There are a total of 8 students in the group and 5 Butler professors. They will be taking classes on the history of each city, the culture, and Jordan is also taking an additional class to continue her study of the Mandarin Chinese language. Their stay in each country is around 7-10 days where they will be staying in hotels, hostels, and different universities. Jordan's East Asian adventure will end April 11!
